Don't let the name fool you. Seymour Smoke never wants to see more smoke. Ever.

Seymour is a flare with one mission: burn it clean. When relief valves lift and gas comes rushing up the header, Seymour takes it all and destroys it safely, high above the unit. But the second he spots a wisp of black at his tip, he panics. "Steam! More steam! Somebody check the air assist! I have a REPUTATION here!"

Seymour knows smoke means his combustion isn't keeping up, and he takes that personally. He keeps a close eye on his steam-to-gas ratio, though he's careful not to overdo it, because too much steam can snuff out his flame, and that's a whole different problem.

Beyond his smoke obsession, Seymour is a true professional. His pilots stay lit around the clock, his purge gas keeps air out of the header, and he trusts his knockout drum to catch any liquids before they reach him. When the rest of the unit has a rough day, Seymour is the calm, steady last line of defense.

Well. Calm until someone mentions smoke.
