Every unit has that pair: the seasoned veteran and the eager hotshot. Meet Sheldon and Hunter.

Sheldon T. Ube has been on the job longer than anyone can remember. He's a shell-and-tube exchanger through and through, built to TEMA standards and proud of it. Sheldon has seen it all: fouled bundles, leaky gaskets, vibrating tubes, and at least one turnaround that ran three weeks long. He's steady, reliable, and has zero patience for anyone who forgets which fluid goes on the tube side. (The dirty, high-pressure, or corrosive one. Obviously.)

Hunter X. Changer is the energetic one, always on the hunt for heat. Every hot stream heading to a cooler makes Hunter wince. "That's free energy! We could be USING that!" He's read up on pinch analysis, dreams about heat integration, and would recover every last BTU in the plant if you let him.

Sheldon keeps Hunter grounded, and Hunter keeps Sheldon from getting stuck in his ways. Together they're living proof that good engineering takes both experience and a little ambition. And they both agree: size the relief for tube rupture before anything else.
